Dean Ranganthan’s international work experience in the Hospitality and Tourism sector spans over 35 years, providing academic, management and administrative leadership in the development and implementation of innovative and first of its kind post-secondary and post graduate programs, seminars, workshops, community partnerships and applied research projects. Positions held include professor, department chair and dean for the school of hospitality, tourism and culture.
As a professional Dean Ranganathan has held various management and leadership positions in the hospitality and tourism industry in Canada, Middle East and India. Positions held include Hotel general manger, controller and operations analyst. He has developed and delivered management and leadership training programs for Hotels in the People’s Republic of China and participated in hospitality and tourism conferences around the globe including for UNWTO, UNESCO and UNEVOC.
Dean Ranganathan was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society and the Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute.
Principal Associate/Director Professor Gjoni Marco BS, MS
Over fifteen years of experience in directing, planning, organizing, controlling, evaluating and promoting hospitality and Tourism projects. Held Hotel Management positions in Canada and USA. Directed and planned the sustainable tourism development policies, against unplanned and chaotic development realities as part of World Bank International Development Fund Projects. Led, coordinated and controlled conservation, preservation and sustainable tourism development projects on two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Teaching experience as teaching assistant at Purdue University and Professor at Centennial College and Pures College of Technology. Assessed, revised and developed course learning materials. Analyzed and evaluated new program learning outcomes and conceptual and theoretical framework of the new proposed programs.
MS in Restaurant, Hotel, Tourism and Institutional Management, Purdue University; BS in Civil Engineering, Tirana University.
Fluent in English, Albanian, Italian and comprehend German.
